An exciting opportunity has arisen for a visionary Clinical Director to lead the launch of a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary clinic. This role offers a rare chance to shape the culture and clinical standards of a flagship site from day one, within a beautifully designed environment that seeks to redefine the veterinary experience for both staff and clients.
The Role
As an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and leader, you will hold overall responsibility for the clinic’s performance across clinical excellence, financial health, and people management. While you will have the autonomy to lead your local team, you will be supported by an established central leadership framework.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership: Maintain a strong presence (approx. 80% clinical) while leading by example in evidence-based medicine and clinical auditing.

Team Development: Directly line manage the vet team, Nursing Director, and Practice Manager, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high engagement.

Business Strategy: Oversee the local clinic strategy, focusing on client acquisition, membership growth, and driving the site toward its break-even milestones.

Operations & Finance: Manage budget planning, P&L performance, and ensure rigorous adherence to Health & Safety and clinical governance.

Culture & Wellbeing: Act as a champion for workplace wellbeing, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and open environment for the entire team.
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong track record in clinical leadership.

Commercial acumen and an understanding of the KPIs that drive a successful startup practice.
