We are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, well-equipped small animal hospital in Southampton, Hampshire.

This is a 30-hour temporary position offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative clinical team while making a meaningful difference to pets and their owners.

This role would suit a vet who enjoys variety in both medicine and surgery, and who values working in a supportive environment where case discussion, shared learning and teamwork are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality veterinary care to a diverse small animal caseload
• Perform routine consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures
• Develop treatment plans that balance best practice with client circumstances
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff
• Maintain accurate clinical records and high clinical standards
• Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients

Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• A pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to patient care
