An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice in Leicestershire, UK, offering a salary of up to £62,000 depending on experience and a 4-day working week.

This role is ideal for a vet with a strong interest in small animal medicine who enjoys working cases up to a high standard and being part of a supportive, collaborative team. You’ll be joining a friendly team of experienced vets and nurses, with access to modern diagnostic equipment and excellent clinical support.

The Role

• Full-time Veterinary Surgeon position
• 4-day working week for a strong work-life balance
• Shared weekend rota (approximately 1 in 9 weekends)
• Mix of consultations and case workups, tailored to your interests
• Opportunity to mentor and support new graduate vets

The Practice

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking first opinion practice with a varied and interesting caseload. The team includes several vets with postgraduate certificates and a culture that actively encourages collaboration, clinical discussion and continuous development.

The practice places strong emphasis on working cases up thoroughly and providing personalised care, supported by skilled nurses and modern diagnostic equipment. Clinical meetings and in-house CPD sessions help ensure the whole team continues to grow and maintain high standards of care.

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
• A team player who enjoys collaboration and case discussion
• Interest in small animal medicine (certificate holder or interest in studying towards one is welcome)
• Confident communicator who enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues
