A well-established small animal clinic in South Hedland is seeking an experienced and confident Cert IV Veterinary Nurse to join their team for a locum placement from 30 March – 30 June 2026.
The clinic is also open to smaller blocks (minimum 1 month) and would consider a locum-to-permanent arrangement for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable all-rounder nurse looking to experience regional Western Australia, with flights, accommodation and vehicle use provided.
Location & Accommodation
You will be based at South Hedland Vet Hospital, with staff accommodation provided in Port Hedland, approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the practice.
A vehicle is provided for travel to and from work (fuel costs to be covered by the locum).

Role Details
Small animal general practice
Experienced Cert IV qualified veterinary nurse required
Confident, capable all-rounder nurse
Ability to work sole charge when required
Strong surgical, hospital and consult support skills
Clinic Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Sunday: Closed
After Hours
After-hours service available if required
This role would suit an experienced nurse who enjoys a varied caseload, a supportive team and great clientele, and who is comfortable stepping into a role with a good level of autonomy.
