Who They Are
This is an independent small‑animal practice located on an island, providing comprehensive primary care services in a setting where referral pathways are not routinely available. As a result, the clinical team manages a wide range of cases in‑house, offering opportunities to develop advanced decision‑making skills across medicine, surgery, and ongoing case management.
The practice predominantly cares for dogs and cats, with occasional rabbit cases, and is supported by an experienced nursing and client‑care team. The environment is collaborative, with clinicians encouraged to take ownership of cases while being supported through discussion and shared clinical problem‑solving.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver first‑opinion consultations, diagnostics, and routine surgical procedures across cats, dogs, and occasional small mammals.
- Manage a varied caseload without referral pathways, providing advanced primary care and full case follow‑through.
- Conduct rabbit anaesthesia and treatment with appropriate species‑specific knowledge.
- Support inpatient care and surgical workflows across the practice.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with regulatory standards.
- Participate in a rota comprising four working days per week, rotating weekends, and shared on‑call duties.
- Contribute to team discussions, clinical meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
