Who They Are
This is an independent, multi‑site small animal practice based across South Wales, with locations in Abergavenny, Monmouth, Brecon and Tredegar. The team includes veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, student nurses and care assistants, many of whom have long tenure within the practice.
Several clinicians hold additional qualifications in areas such as medicine and radiology, supporting a varied caseload and enabling high clinical standards across all branches. The main site provides 24‑hour inpatient nursing care (Monday–Saturday), ensuring continuity for hospitalised patients while allowing the day team to work without out‑of‑hours duties.
The surrounding region offers excellent access to natural landscapes including the Brecon Beacons, creating opportunities for outdoor activities before or after shifts.
What You’ll Do
- Support routine and advanced surgical procedures in theatre.
- Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiography and other modalities used across the branches.
- Conduct nurse consultations in line with practice protocols.
- Provide high standards of inpatient care during daytime hours.
- Work collaboratively across four branches, supporting efficient clinical workflows.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to professional and internal standards.
The role is full‑time Monday–Friday, with no weekend or out‑of‑hours work, and part‑time applications are welcomed.
Sole‑charge nursing confidence is useful but not required, as full support will be provided.
