Global Veterinary Careers is partnering with a well-established companion animal hospital in San Diego, CA. The hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its supportive clinical team. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality general medicine in a collaborative environment, with access to modern equipment and a dedicated support staff.

You will work with a close-knit team that includes experienced veterinarians and technicians, allowing you to focus on delivering thorough patient care and building lasting client relationships. The caseload includes a balanced mix of wellness, preventative care, and medical cases, giving you the opportunity to practice across the full spectrum of general practice medicine.

The Role

As an Associate Veterinarian, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

· Providing complete physical examinations and patient evaluations
· Diagnosing and treating medical conditions for canine and feline patients
· Performing routine surgeries including spays, neuters, and soft tissue procedures
· Delivering dental care and basic dental procedures
· Utilizing in-house diagnostics and imaging to support clinical decisions
· Communicating treatment plans clearly to clients and providing education
· Collaborating with your veterinary team to ensure continuity of care

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

· DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an accredited university
· Active state veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
· DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
· Proficiency in general practice medicine and surgery
