Experienced Veterinarian – Melbourne’s Outer East / Yarra Valley Region
Full Time or Part Time Opportunity

Are you an experienced veterinarian looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact – without compromising on work-life balance?

We’re seeking a passionate and capable vet to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs. This is a flexible opportunity offering part-time or full-time hours (minimum three days per week), with the ability to accommodate school hours for the right candidate.

You’ll join a collaborative, supportive team environment where your skills are valued, your development is encouraged, and your work contributes to a meaningful cause within the community.

About the Role

This position is primarily based in a busy small animal clinic, where you’ll focus on consulting, diagnostics, and surgery for privately owned patients – supported by experienced nurses and a strong veterinary team.

There is also the opportunity to be involved in rewarding welfare-based cases, offering variety and purpose beyond traditional general practice.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident and team-oriented veterinarian with at least 2 years’ clinical experience, who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

You will:

  • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care
  • Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues
  • Work independently while contributing to a team
  • Support and mentor less experienced staff where appropriate
  • Manage a varied caseload with confidence
  • Be motivated to continue developing your clinical skills

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Flexible working arrangements to support genuine work-life balance
  • Above-award salary, tailored to your experience
  • Supportive, close-knit team culture
  • Strong mentoring and clinical support from experienced vets
  • Meaningful work with the opportunity to contribute to animal welfare initiatives
  • A varied and interesting caseload, beyond standard GP work

Working Hours

  • Minimum 3 days per week, with flexibility up to full-time
  • Shared Saturday roster (approx. 1 in 4–5 weekends)
  • Open to discussing your preferred days and hours
