We are recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established, independent small animal practice based in Cheshire, with a strong reputation for high-quality first opinion care and an excellent team culture.

The Role

  • Full-time, 4-day working week
  • Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 depending on experience
  • Shared weekend and overnight inpatient rota (1 in 8)
  • Mix of shifts across two well-equipped sites
  • No routine OOH (external provider in place for emergencies)

You’ll be involved in all aspects of general nursing including:

  • Inpatient care and hospital nursing
  • Theatre work and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Nurse-led clinics
  • Supporting a varied and interesting caseload

About the Practice

This is a multi-site independent practice with a strong clinical team including certificate holders in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Medicine, alongside visiting specialists in orthopaedics, cardiology, imaging, and soft tissue surgery.

Facilities include:

  • RCVS-accredited hospital site
  • Purpose-built modern branch practice
  • Advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment
  • Dedicated inpatient care provision

The nursing team is experienced, supportive, and integral to clinical decision-making, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and development.
