Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a surgically focused role in Whitchurch, Shropshire? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a recently refurbished small animal practice offering true clinical autonomy, strong surgical exposure, and genuine career progression.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a surgically biased vet who wants to take ownership of their caseload and develop their clinical interests. You’ll be supported by a well-equipped practice and a collaborative team, with the freedom to shape your clinical direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care in both consultations and surgery
  • Manage and grow your own caseload with clinical autonomy
  • Create tailored treatment plans and build strong client relationships
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
  • Contribute to clinical standards and continuous improvement

The Practice

  • Recently refurbished, modern small animal practice
  • 3 consult rooms, large prep area, and spacious theatre
  • Well-equipped with ultrasound and dental facilities
  • Separate cat and dog waiting areas
  • Convenient location close to transport links

The Role

  • 4 days per week
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • No out-of-hours
  • Strong focus on surgery and clinical development

Requirements

  • MRCVS qualified Veterinary Surgeon
  • Experience in small animal practice
  • Surgical bias or strong interest in developing surgical skills
  • Passion for high clinical standards and patient care
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
