Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a surgically focused role in Whitchurch, Shropshire? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a recently refurbished small animal practice offering true clinical autonomy, strong surgical exposure, and genuine career progression.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a surgically biased vet who wants to take ownership of their caseload and develop their clinical interests. You’ll be supported by a well-equipped practice and a collaborative team, with the freedom to shape your clinical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality clinical care in both consultations and surgery
- Manage and grow your own caseload with clinical autonomy
- Create tailored treatment plans and build strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
- Contribute to clinical standards and continuous improvement
The Practice
- Recently refurbished, modern small animal practice
- 3 consult rooms, large prep area, and spacious theatre
- Well-equipped with ultrasound and dental facilities
- Separate cat and dog waiting areas
- Convenient location close to transport links
The Role
- 4 days per week
- 1 in 3 Saturdays
- No out-of-hours
- Strong focus on surgery and clinical development
Requirements
- MRCVS qualified Veterinary Surgeon
- Experience in small animal practice
- Surgical bias or strong interest in developing surgical skills
- Passion for high clinical standards and patient care
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
