Global Veterinary Careers is supporting the recruitment of an Assistant / Associate Professor of Radiology, Veterinary Medicine for a new veterinary medicine program in Billings, Montana. This role is ideal for a DVM with a passion for diagnostic imaging, education, student development, and collaborative academic work.
The Opportunity
As Assistant / Associate Professor of Radiology, you will contribute to courses administered by the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, helping enhance the knowledge, growth, and development of veterinary students.
You will work closely with accomplished faculty to design, deliver, and continually refine course content, support students through lectures and small group teaching, and contribute to a student-centered curriculum grounded in real-world clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Teaching within Radiology and Veterinary Clinical Sciences courses
- Delivering assigned lectures
- Running and supporting small group learning sessions
- Reviewing, developing, and contributing to course materials
- Developing and reviewing examination questions
- Advising and mentoring DVM and graduate students
- Engaging in independent and collaborative research in your area of expertise
- Supporting research projects suitable for veterinary student participation
- Collaborating with faculty across departments
- Participating in departmental meetings, faculty evaluations, Faculty Senate, and college or university committees where required
Research and Scholarly Activity
The College has particular research interests across areas including:
- One Health
- Wildlife and Conservation Medicine
- Climate Change
- Zoonotic Diseases
- Public Health
- Radiology research
Experience or interest in Radiology research is highly desirable, particularly where this can support collaboration across faculty teams and student research opportunities.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is:
$150,000Â to $197,000Â per year DOE
Final salary will be determined based on a range of factors including experience, education, credentials, skills, knowledge, and faculty rank.

Requirements
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
- Strong interest in veterinary radiology, diagnostic imaging, teaching, and student development
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, leadership, students, and wider university teams
- Background check and drug screening required
Preferred Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in Radiology preferred
- Experience and interest in Radiology research highly desired
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or supporting veterinary students, interns, residents, or early-career veterinarians
- Interest in collaborative academic research
- Strong commitment to student-centered veterinary education
