The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join the team in Vancouver. What You’ll Be Doing

Medical & Surgical Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Provide preventative care tailored to patient needs
  • Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures including:
    • Spays and neuters
    • Mass removals
    • Abdominal exploratory surgeries
  • Perform dental procedures including:
    • Full oral examinations
    • Dental radiograph interpretation
    • Routine and complex extractions

Patient & Client Care

  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records
  • Educate clients on treatment options and preventative medicine
  • Develop hospitalization and treatment plans
  • Coordinate continuity of care and referrals when necessary

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in medical rounds and case discussions
  • Share knowledge and mentor support staff
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative hospital culture
  • Work closely with hospital leadership to uphold medical standards

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited institution
  • Veterinary license (or ability to obtain) in Washington
  • Current DEA license
  • USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain within two months of hire)
  • Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
