The Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join the team in Vancouver. What You’ll Be Doing
Medical & Surgical Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans
- Provide preventative care tailored to patient needs
- Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures including:
- Spays and neuters
- Mass removals
- Abdominal exploratory surgeries
- Perform dental procedures including:
- Full oral examinations
- Dental radiograph interpretation
- Routine and complex extractions
Patient & Client Care
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records
- Educate clients on treatment options and preventative medicine
- Develop hospitalization and treatment plans
- Coordinate continuity of care and referrals when necessary
Team Collaboration
- Participate in medical rounds and case discussions
- Share knowledge and mentor support staff
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative hospital culture
- Work closely with hospital leadership to uphold medical standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Veterinary license (or ability to obtain) in Washington
- Current DEA license
- USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain within two months of hire)
- Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
