Deputy Head Nurse – Independent Veterinary Practice
Salary up to £36,000 + bonus scheme (OTE £38,000–£40,000)
My client in Liverpool is looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Head Nurse to join a thriving and supportive veterinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN who enjoys leadership responsibilities while remaining hands-on within a busy clinical environment.
Working closely with the Head Nurse, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the clinical team, helping to drive high standards of patient care, clinical governance and operational efficiency. The role would suit someone who is proactive, organised and enjoys mentoring and supporting colleagues.
You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative practice with a varied caseload, modern facilities and a strong focus on continuous improvement and professional development.
Working Hours & Flexibility
Full-time nurses typically work a 4-day week, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Shifts are 9 hours long and include a mix of consulting, inpatient care and surgical nursing duties throughout the week.
The weekend rota is 1 in 4, and duty nights that are set to once a week but you wont work every week as it all depends on the inpatients.
Flexible working options are available, and the team is happy to discuss alternative working patterns to help find a setup that works for you.
