The Role

Working from a practice in Herefordshire, you'll support commercial poultry producers through a mix of farm visits, laboratory diagnostics, disease surveillance, and consultancy work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct postmortem examinations and diagnostic investigations
  • Carry out routine farm health and welfare visits
  • Support industry assurance schemes including Lion Code and Red Tractor
  • Assist with disease surveillance, including Avian Influenza investigations
  • Provide occasional export certification
  • Analyse flock performance and health data
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver practical health and welfare solutions

About You

We're keen to hear from:

  • Experienced Poultry Veterinary Surgeons
  • Small Animal or Farm Vets looking to transition into poultry medicine
  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeons

You will also have:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence working independently and within a team
  • A keen interest in poultry health, welfare, and production
  • The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
