Clinical Director – Veterinary Hospital Sacramento Area, California

GVC is recruiting on behalf of a growing community veterinary group in Northern California. We are seeking an experienced veterinarian for a Clinical Director leadership role at a well-established general practice hospital in the Sacramento area.

This is an opportunity to lead a highly experienced and collaborative veterinary team, partnering with a dedicated Hospital Manager and Chief Medical Officer to deliver exceptional veterinary care. The Role

As Clinical Director you will:

• Lead and mentor the veterinary team
• Partner with the Hospital Manager to drive hospital success
• Support clinical quality, standards, and compliance
• Guide DVM development and mentorship
• Contribute to hospital growth and clinical excellence
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases

What We're Looking For

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in California
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Leadership experience as a Medical Director, Clinical Director, or Lead Veterinarian preferred
• Passion for mentorship, collaboration, and high-quality medicine

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary $180,000 – $225,000 plus uncapped production bonus with no negative accruals
• Clinical Director stipend
