Veterinary Surgeon – Surgical Bias, Supported Development – Lancashire – Up to £65,000 DOE

A great opportunity for an experienced, surgically-biased Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-supported practice in Lancashire — with a strong benefits package and genuine investment in clinical development. 🐾

About the Practice

This well-established small animal practice in Lancashire is part of a large, nationwide veterinary group with over 400 practices across the UK — offering the warmth of a local team alongside the resources, clinical communities and career pathways of a larger organisation.

The practice is committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care, and prides itself on a collaborative, supportive working environment where clinical standards are taken seriously.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position suited to a Veterinary Surgeon with 4–5 years of experience and a surgical bias. You'll be delivering high-quality clinical care across consultations and surgery, developing tailored treatment plans, and working collaboratively within a supportive team.

Why Lancashire?

Lancashire is one of the North West's most underrated places to live and work. The county offers a fantastic quality of life — with the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lancashire coast and the Lake District all within easy reach. 🌿 Preston, the nearest city, has direct rail links to Manchester in around 30 minutes and to London Euston in just over two hours, making it well connected for those travelling further afield. Housing is significantly more affordable than many other parts of the country, and the area has a strong sense of community, excellent schools and a growing food and leisure scene. For those who enjoy the outdoors, you really couldn't ask for a better base.

What They're Looking For

They are looking for a qualified MRCVS with 4–5 years of post-graduate experience and a surgical bias, who is passionate about clinical excellence and client care. A genuine team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports its people. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available for the right candidate.

What They Can Offer You

✅ Salary up to £65,000 DOE

✅ 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with length of service — plus an extra paid day just for you 🎂

✅ £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 paid CPD days per year, funded certificates and internal career pathways

✅ RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid

✅ Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan from day one

✅ 24/7 counselling and wellbeing support

✅ Life assurance (3x salary)

✅ Relocation support and visa sponsorship available

✅ Sabbatical options based on length of service

✅ Cycle to Work scheme and season ticket loans
