Veterinary Nurse – Part-Time or Casual

Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join their busy and well-equipped small animal practice on either a part-time or casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary nurse with at least two years of clinical experience who is looking for long-term employment within a supportive, professional team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

About the Practice

Our client is a modern, fully equipped small animal hospital located in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.

The practice is committed to providing a high standard of veterinary care and is equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory facilities, dental equipment, ultrasound and orthopaedic surgical capabilities. The team prides itself on delivering excellent customer service while fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including:

• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
• Patient care and handling
• Reception and client service
• Assisting veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures
• Housekeeping and maintaining clinical standards
• Supporting and mentoring trainee veterinary nurses

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of two years' veterinary nursing experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A friendly, compassionate and professional approach to client care
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and continue developing professionally
• Reliability, dedication and a strong work ethic
• A genuine passion for animal care and nursing excellence
