Role: Head Veterinarian

An established small animal clinic in Auckland is seeking an experienced Head Veterinarian to lead a close-knit and passionate team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking to step into leadership, or an existing clinical leader ready for their next challenge.

Based in a modern, purpose-built clinic, you'll work alongside an experienced Practice Manager and a dedicated nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care while mentoring and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a collaborative veterinary team
• Deliver a high standard of clinical care and customer service
• Support the ongoing development of veterinarians and nurses
• Work closely with the Practice Manager to oversee clinic operations and financial performance
• Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture
• Perform general practice consultations and surgery, with an interest in dentistry highly regarded

Requirements:

• BVSc or equivalent, with registration (or eligibility) in New Zealand
• Minimum 3 years' experience in small animal practice
• Previous leadership experience or a genuine desire to step into a leadership role
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Confident in general practice medicine and surgery
• Interest in dentistry is advantageous
• Reliable, professional and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
