Our client is seeking a passionate Small Animal Veterinarian to join one of Tasmania's leading companion animal practices, located in beautiful Launceston.

About the Practice

Our client is one of Tasmania's largest companion animal practices, providing high-quality veterinary care to the local community and referral patients from across the region.

The practice operates from a modern facility comprising dedicated canine and feline spaces, including a purpose-designed feline clinic accredited to a high standard of feline-friendly care.

The experienced team includes:

  • 12 veterinarians
  • Over 30 veterinary nurses and support staff

The practice is recognised for delivering exceptional first-opinion veterinary care while also managing a wide range of advanced cases, including:

  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Orthopaedic procedures
  • Oncology cases
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Acupuncture and complementary therapies

The Role

This flexible position can be tailored to suit the successful candidate, with opportunities available for:

  • Full-time or part-time employment
  • Experienced veterinarians seeking clinical autonomy
  • New graduates or developing veterinarians seeking structured mentorship
  • Clinicians interested in feline medicine, canine medicine or a combination of both

The practice encourages veterinarians to develop their own areas of interest and supports clinicians in building expertise across disciplines including:

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Veterinary registration or eligibility to practise in Australia

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture
