Global Veterinary Careers is delighted to be working with a long-established, independent small animal hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, to recruit an Associate Veterinarian.
Serving the local community for over 80 years, this friendly 2-DVM practice has built an outstanding reputation for compassionate care, strong client relationships and a genuinely supportive team culture. The Practice
This well-equipped, stand-alone hospital offers everything needed to provide excellent patient care, including:
- Five spacious exam rooms
- Dedicated surgical suite
- In-house laboratory alongside IDEXX reference laboratory
- Digital radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Modern ultrasound
- Therapeutic laser
The caseload is approximately 95% dogs and cats, with a small percentage of exotics including birds, reptiles and pocket pets. Experience with exotics is welcomed but is not essential, and there is no expectation to see these patients if it isn't an area of interest.
The Role
You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a varied GP caseload including:
- Preventative medicine
- Internal medicine
- Dentistry
- Soft tissue surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Behavioural medicine
- Laser therapy
Appointments are scheduled to allow time for quality medicine, with:
- 30-minute sick and new patient appointments
- 15-minute wellness appointments
- Typically 16-20 appointments per day
Surgery and dentistry can be tailored around your interests and confidence level.
Mentorship & Support
This practice is passionate about developing veterinarians at every stage of their career.
New graduates can expect:
