£60,000–£75,000 DOE | Established Clinic | Beautiful Facilities | 4-Day Week Coming | Excellent Team

GVC are delighted to be assisting a well-established and beautifully run small animal clinic with the recruitment of an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and highly skilled team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced GP Vet who enjoys a varied caseload, values working within a supportive team and wants to join a practice where everything is already in place for you to succeed.

You'll be working alongside an experienced Clinical Director with a particular interest in dentistry, supported by a strong nursing and management team. The practice has a loyal client base, excellent facilities and all the equipment you need to deliver high-quality patient care.

The Role

We're looking for a passionate, confident all-rounder GP Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the variety that general practice brings.

  • Salary: £60,000–£75,000 DOE
  • Minimum 5 years' UK veterinary experience
  • Strong general GP skills across medical and surgical cases
  • Confident working as part of a team, with some elements of sole charge
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for patient and client care
  • Keen to continue developing your clinical skills
  • A surgical interest would be welcomed, alongside the opportunity to work with an experienced Clinical Director with a keen interest in dentistry

The Working Week

The role will initially be 5 days per week, with the practice planning to move towards a 4-day working week.

  • 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • 1 in 6 weekends
  • Some sole-charge responsibility
  • Strong support from an experienced team
  • Excellent opportunity for a long-term career within an established practice

The Team

You'll be joining a genuinely supportive team consisting of:

  • An experienced Clinical Director
  • 2 dedicated Veterinary Nurses
  • An experienced Practice Manager
  • A friendly and established reception team
  • A wider team focused on delivering excellent patient and client care

This isn't a practice where you'll be left to figure things out alone. You'll have experienced people around you and the support needed to settle in quickly.

The Practice

The clinic offers a beautiful, modern working environment with excellent facilities and high-quality equipment, allowing the clinical team to work to the best of their ability.

You'll benefit from an established client base, well-organised systems and a practice that genuinely puts people and animals first.

Benefits

  • £60,000–£75,000 salary DOE
  • 5 weeks' annual leave
  • Your birthday off
  • Salary sacrifice pension
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Supportive, experienced team
  • Excellent clinical facilities and equipment
  • Opportunities to grow and develop within the practice

Why this role?

If you're an experienced GP Vet looking for your next move and want to join a clinic that is well-run, well-equipped and genuinely supportive, this could be an excellent fit.

You'll be joining a team where you can hit the ground running, build strong relationships with clients and patients, and have the opportunity to develop your career while moving towards a better 4-day work-life balance.
