Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon

My client who is based in North London is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a confident GP vet looking for a manageable caseload and a good work-life balance.

Key responsibilities:

• Consultations, examinations and evidence-based treatment planning.
• Routine surgery within your level of competence.
• Prescribing and dispensing medication in line with legislation and RCVS guidance.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Timely referral of cases where appropriate.
• Working collaboratively with the nursing and wider clinical team.
• Supporting clinical standards, SOPs and day-to-day practice operations.

About you:

• Experienced GP first-opinion Veterinary Surgeon.
• Confident with consultations and routine surgery.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to high standards of patient and client care.

The role:

• Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
• Friday is a fixed working day, plus an additional day
• 1:4 Saturday morning rotation
• 1:8 Sunday hospital rotation
• Up to 2 bank holidays per year
• Rare emergency on-call responsibility

Salary:

• £45,000–£72,000 FTE, depending on experience
