Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Opportunity
GVC are assisting a well-established veterinary organisation with the recruitment of an experienced Veterinary Nurse Team Leader to join their team in, Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN who is ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the nursing team while continuing to provide excellent clinical care and compassionate service to clients and their pets.
About the Role
As Veterinary Nurse Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the Head Nurse to help lead and support the nursing team, overseeing Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants across theatre, inpatient care and consults.
You’ll play an important role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital and creating a positive, collaborative environment for the wider team.
The role would suit an experienced RVN who enjoys mentoring others, sharing knowledge and helping colleagues develop their confidence and clinical skills.
You’ll also have the opportunity to:
- Support and coach members of the nursing team
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and encourage professional development
- Help maintain consistently high standards of patient and client care
- Support theatre, inpatient and consulting work
- Champion preventative healthcare and pet wellbeing
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
- Deputise for the Head Nurse when required
- Help ensure the smooth running of the nursing team within a busy hospital environment
