Who They Are 
GVC is supporting an established small animal first-opinion practice in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The team is friendly, clinically focused and committed to consistent standards, with a strong support structure across vets, RVNs, client care and practice management. They also operate as a teaching environment, supporting trainees and students—ideal for someone who enjoys a learning-focused culture.

What You’ll Do 
You’ll deliver high-quality first-opinion care with the backing of a collaborative team. Day to day, you’ll:

• Run consultations and manage cases through investigation, treatment planning and follow-up
• Perform routine surgery confidently and contribute to a safe, well-run theatre schedule
• Work up a varied caseload using in-house diagnostics and strong nursing support
• Maintain excellent client communication and high standards of patient care
• Support a positive team culture; mentoring is welcomed where it fits your interests

Sole charge is minimal, but they’re looking for someone confident and steady in routine GP work.

Working pattern 

• Typically 35–40 hours per week over 4 days (full-time preferred; hours range stated)
• 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–5pm)
• No out-of-hours
• Fixed, regular day off each week

• Full in-house laboratory
• Digital radiography and advanced ultrasound with cardiac probe
• ECG and Tonopen
• Separate dog, cat and exotic wards
• Strong clinical support available for non-routine procedures

• RCVS accredited
• ISFM Silver Cat Friendly
