Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon  Northeast England

GVC are assisting an established veterinary practice in the Northeast of England with the recruitment of an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and supportive practice in the Houghton area, with excellent facilities, a loyal client base and a strong focus on high-quality patient care.

The Role

The practice is based in the Houghton area of Tyne and Wear, offering easy access to the wider Northeast while remaining close to Newcastle and surrounding areas.

The recently refurbished clinic is modern and well-equipped, with separate dog and cat operating spaces, an experienced nursing team and a varied small animal caseload. You'll benefit from excellent case continuity and plenty of support while having the autonomy to develop your own clinical interests.

What's on offer:

• Full-time: 4 days per week
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• Participation in an OOH rota alongside a Senior Vet/ECC team
• Approximately 1 Bank Holiday and 2–3 Sundays per year
• Part-time hours considered
• Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience
• Funded CPD and certificate opportunities
