Veterinary Surgeon – Part-Time | Sheffield

GVC are supporting a fantastic 24-hour veterinary hospital in Sheffield who are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and dedicated team on a part-time basis.

Based in the “Outdoor City” and close to the Peak District, this is a brilliant opportunity for a vet who enjoys a varied first opinion caseload while having the benefit of a fully equipped hospital and dedicated emergency and inpatient care all under one roof.

The role:

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible 8–10 hour day shifts
• Participation in the on-site 24-hour OOH rota
• Opportunity to work at the beautiful Hathersage branch
• Sole-charge work when required
• Support and work alongside a team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons and 9 Nurses
• Peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist
• Dedicated nursing team providing 24/7 inpatient and emergency care
• Excellent opportunity to see cases progress from first opinion through to ongoing hospital care

The ideal candidate:

• Experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon
• Passionate about patient care and 24-hour hospital medicine
• Comfortable working in sole charge
• Happy to support and mentor recently graduated vets
• UK driving licence required
