An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established independent practice in South Staffordshire. This family-owned practice has built a loyal client base over more than 25 years and is now seeking ongoing support following the retirement of its Senior Vet. The team is ideally looking for a long-term locum who can provide stability and continuity while future plans for the practice are assessed.
The Role
📅 ASAP start with ongoing commitment preferred
📅 Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
🕘 Typically 9:00am to 6:00/6:30pm, with regular 10:00am starts available
🐾 Approximately 90% small animal work, with minimal equine involvement that can potentially be removed to create a 100% small animal caseload
🔄 Around 1:4 Saturday mornings (10:00am to 1:00pm)
👤 100% sole charge position
🚫 No on-call or out-of-hours requirements
🩺 Mix of consultations and surgical procedures
✂️ Essential surgical skills include bitch spays, canine castrations, dentals and lump removals
🏥 Consults-only applicants unfortunately cannot be accommodated
