The Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality clinical care and supporting the wider veterinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent nursing care to patients across a varied small animal caseload
- Supporting Veterinary Surgeons with consultations, procedures and surgery
- Monitoring anaesthetics and recovering patients
- Providing inpatient and postoperative care
- Supporting the delivery of exceptional patient and client care
- Working collaboratively with the veterinary and support teams
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient welfare
- Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment
Working Pattern
- Full-time
- 40 hours per week
- 1:4 weekend rota
- Duty nights on a rota
- Varied small animal caseload
About the Practice
You'll be joining a modern, purpose-built veterinary practice with a growing and highly supportive clinical team.
The practice is passionate about providing exceptional care to patients and their owners, both during the day and through its wider clinical services.
The team has a broad range of clinical interests, with many colleagues working towards additional certificates and qualifications. This creates an excellent environment for an RVN who wants to continue developing their clinical skills and expand their knowledge.

- 9 consultation rooms
- 4 operating theatres
- Dedicated dental suite
- Ultrasound suite
- Dedicated CT scanning suite
- 128-slice CT scanner
- 2 dedicated dog wards
- 2 dedicated cat wards
- 2 preparation areas
- Purpose-built clinical facilities
Working within this environment will give you exposure to a wide variety of cases and the opportunity to work alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs.
About You
We're looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who is enthusiastic, hardworking and passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
You'll ideally:
- Be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Have experience within small animal practice
- Enjoy working with a varied caseload
- Be confident working as part of a multidisciplinary veterinary team
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be proactive and willing to support colleagues
- Have a genuine interest in continued professional development
- Be keen to make the most of the training and career opportunities available

Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is £27,250–£33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
