About the Role
Looking for the case variety and clinical challenge of emergency medicine, without the overnight shifts?
We’re working with a unique nonprofit veterinary hospital in the Minneapolis area that is looking for a Veterinarian to join its growing team on either a full-time or part-time basis.
This is a varied position spanning daytime urgent/emergency care, general practice appointments and surgery, making it a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys seeing a broad and interesting caseload while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The hospital is passionate about making high-quality veterinary medicine accessible to more families. Their veterinarians practice Spectrum of Care medicine, working with clients to find individualized treatment options while delivering excellent patient care.
Why This Opportunity?

$110,000–$140,000 salary for full-time veterinarians

4 x 10-hour shifts per week for full-time veterinarians

What Will You Be Doing?
No two days have to look the same.
You’ll see everything from preventative care and routine appointments through to urgent presentations, traumatic injuries, serious illnesses and surgical cases.
Working alongside an experienced technician and assistant team, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Manage both scheduled appointments and urgent cases

Assess and prioritize patients requiring time-sensitive care

Develop individualized treatment plans

Perform and assist with general practice surgery

Utilize diagnostics and radiography

Provide preventative healthcare and client education

Monitor and manage hospitalized patients
-
Communicate treatment plans, estimates and discharge instructions

Work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team
Who Are We Looking For?
We’d love to speak with veterinarians who have:

A DVM or equivalent veterinary degree

Strong communication and client-care skills
-
A collaborative, team-focused approach
-
An interest in continuing to develop clinically

The ability to work effectively within a technician-driven hospital
-
A passion for providing compassionate and accessible veterinary care
You don’t need to come from a traditional emergency background. Incoming veterinarians complete a formalized and personalized onboarding program across the hospital’s different service areas, helping you build confidence within this unique model of care.
