Small Animal Veterinarian – Full-Time or Part-Time | South-East Melbourne
Our client is seeking a Small Animal Veterinarian to join their established and supportive team in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian with 1–2 years' experience or more who is looking to build their clinical skills within a busy, independently owned practice with a strong focus on thorough case work-ups, medical and surgical development, and quality patient care.
About the Practice
Our client is a long-established veterinary practice that has proudly served its local community for more than 60 years.
Located approximately 13km from Melbourne's CBD, the practice has recently undergone significant renovations and now operates from a modern, purpose-built facility.
The clinic has a busy and varied medical and surgical caseload, with veterinarians encouraged to undertake thorough diagnostic work-ups and develop their clinical skills.
Facilities include:
- High-quality diagnostic ultrasound
- Endoscopy and scopes
- Digital radiography
- Modern surgical and treatment facilities
The veterinary team is highly supportive, with daily hospital rounds an important part of the practice's approach to patient care and clinical learning.
The Role
This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will enjoy:

There is a rotational weekend commitment of approximately one weekend every four weeks, operating on reduced hours.
The practice has also supported a local animal welfare scheme for more than 39 years, providing a consistent caseload of routine surgical procedures and valuable opportunities for veterinarians to build confidence and competence in essential surgical skills.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Veterinary degree and eligibility for registration in Victoria
- Ideally 1–2 years' small animal clinical experience or more
- A genuine interest in developing medical and surgical skills
- Strong communication and client relationship abilities
- A commitment to thorough patient work-ups and high-quality care
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
- Enthusiasm for working within an independently owned practice
