GVC is supporting an equine-only practice based in Inverness, serving the Scottish Highlands, delivering a 24/7 ambulatory and emergency equine service to an established client base. The practice is entering its next phase and is seeking a senior clinician to take ownership of clinical standards, people development, and the future direction of the service.

What You’ll Do

As Clinical Director you will lead both the clinical and strategic direction of the practice while maintaining an active clinical caseload aligned with your strengths. You will:

• Lead clinical governance, standards and senior clinical decision-making
• Develop clinical protocols, patient pathways and quality improvement activity
• Mentor and support a small, engaged equine team, setting clear expectations and coaching performance
• Partner with operational leadership on workforce planning and sustainable ways of working
• Drive service development, investment priorities and longer-term growth plans
• Act as a senior clinical point of contact for clients and referring practices
• Participate in the shared out-of-hours rota and support emergency coverage standards

Working Pattern

• Up to 40 hours per week
• 1 in 4.5 out-of-hours weekends (shared rota)
