Planning ahead for 2027?
A friendly small animal veterinary clinic in Queensland’s Moreton Bay region is looking for Locum Veterinarians to assist with an extended period of leave cover from approximately 20 January through to 21 February 2027.
The clinic has an ideal coverage plan in mind but is very flexible and happy to work around the availability of individual locums.
You do not need to be available for the entire period to be considered.
The Cover Required
For the first two weeks, the clinic ideally needs approximately six shifts per week covered across two veterinarians.
For the following weeks, they are looking for approximately one full-time equivalent veterinarian.
This is their perfect-world scenario, but they understand locum availability can vary and are happy to piece the roster together around suitable vets.
If you can assist for one week, two weeks, or the majority of the block, we’d still love to hear from you.
Accommodation + Car Available
This could be an excellent option for an interstate vet or travelling veterinary couple looking to combine work with some time in Queensland.
For the right locum arrangement, the clinic can offer:
- A house-sitting arrangement during the placement
- A car for use during your stay
- Flexibility around the length of your locum block
- Flexibility around the number of shifts you can cover
- The opportunity for two vets travelling together to potentially assist with the roster
The clinic has previously welcomed travelling veterinary couples and would be very open to a similar arrangement for this block.
The Role
You’ll be joining an established small animal GP team and assisting with general veterinary duties while permanent team members take planned leave.
They’re looking for experienced vets who can confidently step into a small animal GP environment and support the existing team.
Interested?
If you’re planning your 2027 locum calendar and would be interested in spending a few weeks in Queensland’s Moreton Bay region, I’d love to hear from you.
