We’re recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and experienced small animal team in Loughborough, Leicestershire, working just 2 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet looking for flexibility while still enjoying a rewarding and varied caseload, including routine consultations and surgery alongside more complex medical and surgical cases.

The Role

• Part-time, permanent position
• Working 2 days per week
• Hours: 8:30am–7:00pm
• 1 in 6 weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour hospital
• One Bank Holiday per year
• Varied first opinion small animal caseload
• Mix of consultations, routine surgery and more complex cases
• Opportunity to develop advanced clinical and surgical skills

The practice has a particular interest in advanced soft tissue surgery, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further develop their surgical skills.

About the Practice

You’ll be joining a well-established, purpose-built small animal practice designed to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for both patients and colleagues.

The practice is proud to hold Cat Friendly Clinic status, with a strong focus on providing a calm and low-stress experience for feline patients.

You’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive team and benefit from access to a wider veterinary network, including a nearby 24-hour hospital for additional clinical support.

About You

We’re looking for a qualified RCVS Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for delivering excellent clinical and client care.

You’ll ideally:

• Be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Have experience within small animal practice
• Enjoy managing a varied first opinion caseload
• Be confident with consultations and routine surgery
• Have an interest in developing your medical or surgical skills
• Be a collaborative and supportive team player
• Have excellent communication and client care skills
• Be committed to maintaining high clinical and professional standards
