The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand-new practice in Cambuslang, Glasgow.
This is a great opportunity for a vet looking for genuine clinical autonomy and the chance to have a meaningful say in how a practice develops. Joining at an early stage, you’ll be able to bring your experience and ideas to the table while helping shape the clinical standards, culture and future direction of the practice.
The role will involve:
- Providing high-quality veterinary care across consultations, diagnostics and surgery
- Working with a high level of clinical autonomy
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and their pets
- Making full use of modern equipment and in-house diagnostic facilities
- Contributing your experience and ideas to the development of the practice
- Working closely with the team to establish a positive clinical culture
- Playing an active role in the growth and success of the practice
The practice is being equipped with modern facilities, including digital X-ray, anaesthesia equipment, a dedicated recovery area and in-house laboratory machines, allowing you to carry out a range of diagnostic and clinical work on site.
About You
This position would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working independently and enjoys having ownership over their clinical decisions.
You’ll ideally be:
- An experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon
- Comfortable working with a high level of clinical independence
- A strong communicator with excellent client care skills
- Passionate about high standards of patient care
- Collaborative, approachable and supportive
- Someone who enjoys contributing ideas and helping develop a practice
- Ambitious and interested in having a longer-term role in the growth of the business
Certificate holders are welcome, with the salary reflecting experience and qualifications.
