Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a varied first-opinion role with a great work-life balance?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, partner-led practice in Central Bedfordshire.

This role would suit an all-rounder Vet who enjoys a broad first-opinion caseload, values working as part of a close-knit team and wants to play an active role in the continued development of the practice.

The Role

You’ll join an experienced team providing high-quality care across a varied first-opinion caseload. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while working in a collaborative environment where your contribution is valued.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with clients and providing high-quality first-opinion veterinary care
• Performing surgery and managing a varied caseload
• Developing tailored treatment plans
• Providing compassionate care to patients and their owners
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team
• Maintaining high standards of clinical and regulatory compliance
• Sharing your knowledge and supporting the development of colleagues
• Contributing to the ongoing success and development of the practice

Working Pattern

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position worked over 4 days, giving you a regular Friday off.

The weekend and out-of-hours commitment includes:

• 1 in 6 weekends 
• A fair share of Bank Holiday shifts
• Participation in an on-call rota supporting the wider 24-hour service

About You

You’ll be a qualified MRCVS with a broad interest in first-opinion practice and a genuine passion for clinical and client care.

You’ll ideally be:

• Confident working across a varied first-opinion caseload
• Comfortable with both consultations and surgery
• A strong communicator with a client-focused approach
• Collaborative and supportive towards colleagues
• Keen to share knowledge and contribute to the wider team
• Committed to maintaining high clinical standards
