Looking for a great GP role with plenty of clinical variety, a supportive team and no night shifts? 🐾

GVC are assisting a well-established, RCVS-accredited veterinary practice in Petersfield with the recruitment of a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team.

  • Weekend rota currently around 1 in 4.5, with time off in lieu the following week
  • No night shifts – a dedicated night team provides overnight cover
  • Varied GP caseload covering both medicine and surgery
  • Option for a consult-only or medicine-biased role if preferred
  • Opportunity to develop your clinical interests and build on your existing skills
  • Supportive team environment with excellent opportunities for CPD and progression

The Clinical Environment

About You

We're looking for a confident Small Animal Vet who enjoys a varied GP caseload and is comfortable working independently.

You'll ideally:

  • Have experience in small animal practice
  • Be confident with consultations and managing your own caseload
  • Be comfortable with sole-charge work
  • Be able to perform routine/basic surgical procedures
  • Have excellent client communication skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a larger, collaborative team

Whether you're looking for a traditional all-round GP role or would prefer to focus more heavily on consultations and medicine, the team can offer flexibility around your interests.

The Benefits

Alongside a competitive salary, you'll receive:

  • 6.6 weeks' annual leave, including bank holidays
  • £1,750 CPD allowance
