Senior Theatre RVN – 12 Month Maternity Cover

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced RVN with a passion for theatre and surgical nursing to join a busy hospital team in a Senior Theatre RVN role on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This position would also suit a confident RVN looking to step into their first senior role and develop leadership skills within a fast-paced surgical environment.

The Role:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• 4 or 5 day week available
• 1:6 weekends with TOIL
• 2 bank holidays per year
• 1:10 last resort on-call rota

You’ll take the lead across multiple theatres, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high clinical standards, and supporting theatre training and development. Duties include theatre organisation, GA audits and troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, stock control, SOP management, in-house CPD, and supporting the wider nursing leadership team when required.

You’ll work alongside a large, experienced multidisciplinary team within a well-equipped hospital offering advanced surgical and diagnostic facilities, including orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a theatre-focused RVN looking to expand their leadership experience in a supportive hospital environment.

Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 depending on experience.
