Night Veterinary Surgeon (Fixed-Term Cover) – Liverpool – Up to £85,000 Pro Rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy 24-hour Small Animal Hospital in Liverpool on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for a vet with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) who is looking for a flexible night rota and exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload.

The Role

• Night Veterinary Surgeon – Fixed-Term Maternity Cover

• Salary: Up to £85,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)

• Working pattern: 7 nights per month (7 on / 21 off rota)

• Based in a 24-hour hospital environment

• Manage emergency and critical care cases overnight

• Provide consultations, emergency procedures and patient monitoring

• Work within a supportive and collaborative clinical team

This role offers the chance to develop your ECC, medical and surgical skills while benefiting from significant downtime between working weeks.

About You

You will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a few years’ experience in small animal practice. A strong interest in Emergency and Critical Care is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused approach.
