The Opportunity

Global Veterinary Careers is supporting the launch of a new College of Veterinary Medicine, seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor specialising in Clinical Pathology.

This is a unique opportunity to join at the foundation stage of a progressive veterinary programme, contributing to the development of a modern, student-focused curriculum. You will play a key role in shaping how clinical pathology is taught while supporting the growth of future veterinary professionals.

The Role

• Deliver lectures and facilitate small group teaching sessions
• Contribute to curriculum development, course content, and assessments
• Develop and review examination materials in line with academic standards
• Support and mentor veterinary and graduate students
• Participate in faculty governance and university committees
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously refine programme delivery

Teaching & Academic Focus

• Teach Clinical Pathology within an integrated veterinary curriculum
• Support student learning through both lecture-based and collaborative teaching methods
• Contribute to interdisciplinary teaching across the programme
• Assist in the ongoing development of innovative teaching approaches

Research & Scholarly Activity

• Engage in independent and collaborative research within Clinical Pathology
• Contribute to key research areas including One Health, Zoonotic Diseases, Public Health, Wildlife & Conservation Medicine, and Climate Change
• Mentor DVM and graduate students in research initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to strengthen research output and academic impact

• Salary ranging from $149,864 to $196,539 depending on experience

Requirements

• DVM from an accredited institution
• PhD preferred
• Board eligible or board certified preferred
• Experience or strong interest in Clinical Pathology
• Passion for teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
