About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, high-performing small animal hospital in Newport Beach, California.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine, working up interesting and complex cases, and building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.

You’ll be joining an experienced 3-doctor team, supported by around 25 skilled team members, including several long-standing staff who have been with the hospital for more than 20 years.

The practice sits in a great space between general practice and specialty-level medicine, giving its veterinarians the opportunity to manage more advanced cases while still enjoying the continuity and relationships that come with GP.

The Hospital

The hospital is well equipped to support a high standard of medicine, with access to:

• Digital radiography

• Ultrasound

• Endoscopy

• Surgical laser

• Cryotherapy

• In-house culture capabilities

• Extensive in-house pharmacy

• Strong external laboratory support

The team works with a clientele who are highly engaged in their pets’ care and willing to pursue thorough diagnostics and treatment plans.

Schedule

A consistent 4-day working week offers a great balance between career and life outside of the hospital.

Typical working days include:

• Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Dedicated surgical time during the working week

Salary & Benefits

The package includes:

• $170,000 – $200,000 base salary + production

• $20,000 sign-on bonus
