GVC is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing independent veterinary group in Watsonville, California. We are seeking experienced Veterinarians – including recent graduates – to join a state-of-the-art hospital facility with a fully trained, collaborative team already in place.

About the Hospital
- Modern, purpose-built hospital facility in Watsonville, CA
- Full in-house diagnostics including laboratory, pharmacy, ultrasound and radiography
- Fully equipped surgical suites including critical care monitoring and isolation ward
- Comprehensive service offering across preventative care, surgery, dentistry and diagnostics
- Supportive, fully trained veterinary team in place
The Role
Depending on experience, this position can be filled at Associate Veterinarian or Medical Director level. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality general practice medicine across a varied caseload
- Performing surgical procedures including spay/neuter, dentistry, mass removal, hernia repair and extractions
- Advising clients on preventative care, vaccinations, nutrition and general animal health
- Maintaining excellent clinical records and client communication
- Supporting and mentoring veterinary technical staff
- Contributing to the financial performance and growth of the hospital
- Ensuring compliance with the Veterinary Medical Board, AAHA standards and California regulations
What We're Looking For
- DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in California
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience preferred – recent graduates also welcome
- Strong surgical skills including routine spay/neuter and dentistry
- A collaborative, client-focused approach with good clinical judgement
- For Medical Director level: prior leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $150,000 – $250,000 depending on experience and level
