A veterinary hospital in Samford Valley is looking to build a reliable pool of Locum Veterinarians who are interested in picking up occasional day and overnight shifts throughout the year.

This could be particularly well suited to a GP veterinarian who wants to pick up additional shifts around their existing roster while gaining further exposure to emergency and critical care.

There is no requirement to commit to a regular ongoing roster. The aim is to build a pool of veterinarians who know the hospital and team and can assist when additional coverage is required.

The Role

The hospital sees a combination of general practice and emergency cases. They have found that veterinarians with a strong GP foundation often transition particularly well into their environment.

Previous ECC exposure is beneficial, but you do not need to come from a dedicated emergency background. The team is happy to support and train veterinarians who are interested in developing their ECC capabilities.

Ideally, You Will:

• Have solid small animal GP experience
• Have some ECC exposure or an interest in developing your emergency skills
• Be happy working across both GP and emergency cases
• Enjoy working within a collaborative hospital environment
• Be interested in occasional additional shifts around your existing commitments

Both day and overnight availability can be considered.
