We’re representing a large, privately owned veterinary clinic in South Brisbane, seeking a confident and experienced Lead Veterinarian to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves both clinical excellence and people leadership, and is motivated by both high-quality medicine and operational efficiency.
About the Role
As the Lead Vet, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and lifting clinical standards while supporting a highly skilled team.
You’ll be responsible for:

Leading by example in medicine & surgery

Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior vets

Driving workflow efficiency and appropriate billing
-
Supporting high customer service standards

Coordinating monthly vet meetings
-
Assisting with client escalations and disputes
-
Working collaboratively with 3 other vets and 6 nursing/support staff

They are happy to support skill development, but vets need to build and bring in their own case load to grow in the areas they’re passionate about.
Salary & Rewards

Base salary: $130K
-
Bonus structure: previously taking total earnings to ~$150K

Full-time hours with strong work/life balance culture

Saturday shifts include 2 vets + 3 support staff

1 in 2 Saturdays (8am–1pm)
Who We're Looking For

Solid foundation in medicine and surgery

Confident, efficient, and experienced GP vet

Excellent communication and customer service

Strong leadership capability

A team player who genuinely enjoys supporting others

Someone who can motivate, influence, and set the tone for clinical standards

Recognised degree in Veterinary Medicine that meets Australian registration standards

Full working rights in Australia (citizen, PR, or appropriate visa with no restrictions)
