Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse – Independent Small Animal Practice
South Yorkshire / Derbyshire Border

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established, family-run independent small animal practice located on the South Yorkshire / Derbyshire border. This role is ideal for an experienced RVN who enjoys leadership responsibilities while remaining hands-on clinically, within a genuinely supportive and progressive environment.

The Role
Working closely with the senior team, you’ll play a key role in supporting and developing the nursing team while maintaining high clinical standards across both consults and theatre. The position offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to help shape the future of the practice alongside a collaborative, long-standing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head Nurse and wider leadership team

  • Leading by example in consults and surgical nursing

  • Delivering excellent patient and client care

  • Mentoring and supporting the nursing team

  • Contributing to the development of clinical standards and team culture

The Practice

  • Independent, family-run small animal practice
