Night Veterinary Surgeon

East Yorkshire | Up to £65,000 | 7 Nights On / 14 Nights Off

GVC are assisting a busy veterinary hospital in East Yorkshire with the recruitment of an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated out-of-hours team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet with a genuine interest in emergency and critical care who enjoys working in a well-equipped hospital environment, with excellent facilities and the support of an experienced team.

The Role

Working 7pm–9am on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota, this role offers an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to develop your emergency and hospital-based clinical skills.

The hospital provides 24-hour hospitalisation with dedicated dog, cat, exotic and isolation wards, alongside:

• 3 operating theatres with modern surgical equipment
• In-house laboratory
• Digital X-ray and ultrasound
• Doppler and ECG
• CT
• Endoscopy, rhinoscopy and arthroscopy
• Hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill
• Laser therapy

You'll be supported by an experienced team and will have access to the facilities and equipment needed to provide a high standard of overnight patient care.

About You

We're looking for an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with previous emergency, critical care or hospital experience.

You'll be confident working overnight, making clinical decisions independently and managing emergency cases, while also being a strong team player who enjoys working within a hospital environment.
