Equine Veterinarian – Full-Time | Regional NSW / VIC Border
An outstanding opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and progressive Equine Veterinarian to join a well-established, 100% equine practice located in a major regional centre on the NSW–Victoria border.
This modern practice operates as both an ambulatory and hospital-based service, delivering thorough and compassionate veterinary care to a diverse equine population, including racing, sport, and pleasure horses.
The Location
Situated in a thriving regional city on the Murray River near Lake Hume, the region offers outstanding lifestyle benefits with close proximity to the Snowy Mountains and the Rutherglen wine region. The area is well serviced by road and air, with direct flights available and excellent education, employment, recreational, and family facilities.
The Practice
The clinic operates from a purpose-built equine hospital ideally positioned beside a major racetrack. Facilities include:

The practice is supported by a highly skilled nursing and technical team, alongside visiting registered equine surgeons who regularly perform elective procedures including arthroscopy, sequestrum removal, cryptorchid surgery, and upper airway procedures.
The Role
This is a 100% equine role, offering a highly varied and stimulating caseload including:

Lameness investigations

General surgery and medicine

Farm calls

Reproduction (natural cover, chilled and frozen AI, embryo transfer)

Racetrack work
