Emergency Veterinarian (Overnight)

Location: Singapore
Salary: SGD $120,000 – $168,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 12 overnight shifts every 4 weeks

Global Veterinary Careers is supporting a leading 24/7 emergency and specialty referral hospital in Singapore with the recruitment of an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join its overnight emergency team.

This role is ideal for a confident ER clinician who enjoys high-acuity medicine, working within a well-resourced hospital alongside specialist and referral colleagues.

The Opportunity

You will deliver high-quality emergency veterinary care in a fast-paced, collaborative referral environment, while providing clear, compassionate communication to clients during critical situations.

You’ll be supported by a strong nursing team, referral clinicians and on-site advanced diagnostics, allowing you to focus on medicine while maintaining excellent standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional emergency and critical care during overnight shifts

• Perform thorough diagnostics, develop treatment plans and manage emergency caseloads confidently

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, particularly in high-stress situations

• Lead and coordinate the overnight clinical team, ensuring efficient workflow and patient safety

• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records

• Practice evidence-based medicine and preventative care where appropriate

• Perform basic surgical procedures with appropriate anaesthesia, monitoring and pain management

• Collaborate effectively with referral clinicians, nurses and leadership teams

• Address and resolve client concerns professionally

• Contribute to continuous improvement in clinical quality, efficiency and service delivery

About You

• Veterinary degree recognised in Singapore (or eligible for registration)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Emergency or ER-focused practice

• Confident managing emergency cases independently overnight

• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

• Team-oriented, professional and resilient under pressure

• Committed to high clinical standards and client care
