Looking to take the next step into leadership while maintaining a strong clinical role? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN to lead a supportive and growing nursing team within a busy small animal practice in South East London.

This role offers the chance to shape clinical standards, mentor and develop nurses, and play a key part in the continued growth of the practice, all while benefiting from a genuine work-life balance with a 4-day working week and salary up to £42,000.

Progressing towards a 3-vet team. You’ll be joining a collaborative and friendly support team consisting of:

  • 2 Student Veterinary Nurses
  • 1 RVN
  • 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
  • 1 Client Care Assistant

The Role

  • Full-time Head RVN position
  • Salary up to £42,000
  • 4-day working week
  • 9.5-hour shifts
  • 1 in 6 weekends
  • Hands-on clinical and leadership responsibilities
  • Opportunity to mentor and develop the nursing team

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the nursing team
  • Deliver outstanding patient and client care
  • Support consultations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Run nurse consultations and Schedule 3 activities
  • Monitor and care for inpatients
  • Manage admissions and discharges
  • Maintain high clinical and operational standards

About You

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Passionate about patient and client care
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Motivated to support and develop colleagues
