Surgical Veterinary Nurse

We are currently working with a well-established small animal clinic in Adelaide seeking a qualified and surgically confident Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

This role would suit a nurse who genuinely enjoys being in theatre, has strong anaesthesia skills, and takes pride in maintaining high clinical standards.

The Opportunity

You will be working alongside experienced veterinarians in a well-equipped clinic with a steady surgical caseload. The team values efficiency, strong communication, and nurses who can take ownership within theatre.

This is not a junior role — they are looking for someone confident, capable, and comfortable in surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Surgical preparation and sterile set-up

• Anaesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery

• Assisting with soft tissue procedures and routine surgeries

• Inpatient and post-operative care

• Supporting diagnostics and treatment planning

• Client communication where required

About You

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (essential)

• Strong surgical and anaesthesia experience

• Confident working independently in theatre

• Calm under pressure and clinically thorough

• Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
