A well-established, locally owned and independent veterinary clinic in Brighton is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Veterinarian to join its supportive and close-knit team.

This clinic is proud of the positive, collaborative culture it has built — where passion for veterinary medicine is matched by genuine care for the people who make it possible. The team thrives on knowledge sharing, mutual support, and creating a low-stress experience for both pets and their owners. It is more than just a workplace — it is a community where veterinarians can feel valued, supported, and inspired.

One of the clinic’s long-standing and much-loved vets is relocating interstate, creating an opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to step into a well-supported role and make it their own.

  • Quarterly support and career progression catch-ups

  • Clear wage bands and documented career pathways

  • High staff-to-client ratio, enabling high-quality medicine

  • Twice-daily rounds and weekly team meetings

  • Engaged clients who value proactive, preventative care

The Role

The clinic is ideally seeking to replace a minimum of:

  • 3 days per week

  • 1 in 4 Saturdays

  • No Sundays

  • No after-hours

Additional days may be available for candidates seeking a fuller schedule.

Salary & Benefits

Transparency is a core value, and open wage discussions are encouraged. Salary is aligned with experience and responsibilities, within the band of:

$45–$80+ per hour (depending on experience)

Additional benefits include:

  • CPD allowance plus paid CPD leave

  • Structured development pathways

  • Staff discounts

  • Highly skilled and supportive nursing team

  • Enjoy the relaxed bayside lifestyle, with cafés, shops and the beach nearby

What They’re Looking For

  • 2+ years’ experience

  • Competence in general medicine and surgery

  • A strong communicator who values trust and empathy

  • A collaborative team player

  • Bonus: interest or skills in ultrasonography

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload supported by proactive clients and a team with diverse clinical interests including dentistry, orthopaedics, feline medicine and laparoscopic surgery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely independent clinic where transparency, work-life balance, and team culture are not just buzzwords — they are actively practised.
